The recipe of the week is, you guessed it, portobello mushrooms! Yum! You can serve this as a side or put it in a bun or bread as a burger/sandwich.
Cooking Time: 10-15 mins
Portobello mushrooms (caps, baby's or slices)
3 tbsp Olive oil
2 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp Soy sauce
Salt & Pepper
Optional: Montreal steak spice, garlic red pepper spice or any other spices
Wash the mushrooms and set them aside to dry. In a bowl mix the olive oil, balsamic vinegar and soy sauce together. Place the mushrooms on foil or on a plate or cutting board. Pour the mixture over the mushrooms or use a brush to coat them. Sprinkle the salt and pepper and any other spices you desire. I like to use Montreal steak spice, but very sparingly because it has a very strong flavor. You can either fold them up in the foil or put them in a metal grill basket and put them on the BBQ or in the oven for 10-20 minutes. You'll know they're done if they've shrunken in size and are darker in colour, and juicy!
